Bloomfield Middle/High School

Yesterday, our cross country runners traveled back to Brookfield and competed in the Trumbull County Championship meet. Jackson led things off with a competitive race. He ran a solid pace throughout and powered up some slippery, difficult hills and finished strong with a 31st place finish out of 87 runners and a final time of 14:17. This was a 48 second improvement from his time on the same course 3 weeks ago! Abigail also made a huge improvement on the difficult Brookfield course. She did 3 laps on the hilly, muddy terrain and ran an exceptional final mile catching multiple rivals in the closing stages. She ended up with a 36th place finish out of 72 runners and a final time of 26:19. This was an improvement of 1 minute and 6 seconds from her last effort at Brookfield 3 weeks ago! Congrats to our runners. They will use these next couple of days to freshen up, and get ready to wheel back under the lights in Poland this Saturday night at the Glow in the Park Invitational.
